A truncated Matchweek 34 will still serve to be a pivotal weekend for the title and relegation races.

Saturday afternoon features second-place Arsenal traveling to Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Gunners’ title hopes took a stumble with a 2-0 home loss to Aston Villa last Sunday, but they are still only two points behind Manchester City.

The loss was the first in 2024 in the league for Mikel Arteta’s side, so they will be looking to rebound immediately at Molineux.

Arsenal have been consistent against Wolves of late, winning their last five matches, including clean sheets in their last two away matches.

After a strong stretch that saw Wolves reach as high as eighth in the table, Gary O’Neil’s side had only managed two points in their last four matches and have a monumental task ahead against Arsenal’s explosive attack.

Goodison Park will feature a key matchup in the battle to stay in the Premier League for next season as Everton host Nottingham Forest on Sunday morning.

With a game in hand, Everton are one point above Forest and two points above 18th-place Luton Town. While neither team are currently in the relegation zone, the winner could get some much needed breathing room, whereas the loser could see themselves overtaken by Luton if they get a win against Brentford. Forest have only won one of their last eight Premier League games against Everton, and the Toffees will be looking to keep that streak going on Sunday.

American Giovanni Reyna recorded an assist in his first start for Nott’m Forest last weekend and could be an impact player for the Reds once again.

‌A win over Crystal Palace at home could have sent Liverpool back to the top, but a shock 1-0 loss has now made their match on the road at Fulham that much more important. The Reds sit in third place on goal difference behind Arsenal, and two points behind leader Man City.

They will be facing a Fulham side coming off an impressive 2-0 road victory over West Ham United that has kept alive their outside chance of claiming a European place next season. The Cottagers will still be looking to avenge what was one of the matches of the season when they lost 4-3 to Liverpool in the reverse fixture at Anfield.

Goals could be hard to come by for Liverpool at Craven Cottage, as Fulham have only allowed 13 goals in their last 15 home matches. Defeat for Liverpool this weekend would leave the Reds’ title hopes hanging in the balance.
