Monday, as the snow began to fall across the Tennessee Valley, a driver rear-ended a Tennessee Department of Transportation help truck stopped on US-27.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol report obtained by Local 3 News explains that driver Brandon Reed of Georgia struck the TDOT truck that was parked on the shoulder after an earlier crash near the MLK exit.
Reed’s Mitsubishi Outlander SUV appeared to be traveling to fast for the weather conditions, as was charged, according to the THP.
The driver of the THP truck and a child in Reed’s vehicle were injured in the crash.
