Minnows Zimbabwe stunned Sri Lanka as they picked up a dramatic four-wicket win to level the T20I series 1-1 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday.
The Chevrons needed 20 runs to win in the final over and that is when Luke Jongwe turned hero for his side. The 28-year-old hit two sixes and a four in the first three deliveries of Angelo Mathews while Clive Madande hit the winning six in the final over.
Zimbabwe managed to keep the series alive after the hosts clinched the first T20I by three wickets.

Batting first, the home team put up a respectable total of 173 runs for the loss of 6 wickets with Charith Asalnka and Angelo Mathews shining with the bat. While Asalnka played a brilliant innings of 69 off 39 balls, Mathews remained not out at 66 off 51 deliveries.
While chasing, Craig Ervine scored 70 off 54 balls to guide his team to glory. Brian Bennet and Luke Jongwe who scored 25 runs each.
Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza’s fine run of form came to an end as he was dismissed for just 8 runs.

The two teams will now lock horns in the series decider on Thursday at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
