From: Mark Searles, Storm Team 10 Chief Meteorologist:

The wintry mix comes to an end by 9 pm tonight, but our troubles are only just beginning. After a day of snow and rain, the slush left over will freeze solid if untreated, so be sure to clear anything that you don’t want to turn into a block of ice. Late tonight the sky will clear with temperatures dropping to the teens. Any untreated road surfaces will be icy.

Wednesday finally sees a return to sunshine as cold temperatures remain. Highs top out in the upper 20s, and many spots won’t return to above-freezing levels until Monday of next week. A chance of flurries returns to the forecast Thursday afternoon, and we are keeping an eye on a coastal system that threatens some light snow on Friday. This upcoming weekend is dry but rather cold with highs in the 20s and lows in the teens and single digits!
