MyWhoosh makes indoor training platform available to more PC users through new Go app

MyWhoosh has made its online training platform available to a wider range of PC users through the introduction of the new Go app.

Available through the Microsoft store, it is a more compact version of its standard app, targeted specifically at “low-end Windows devices”. MyWhoosh says that it hasn’t had to sacrifice any functionality to create the app, which gives users access to the same features as the standard app.

This includes the ability to explore five virtual worlds based on real-world roads, spanning from the Australian outback to the deserts of Arabia. The app is also home to workouts and training plans, plus a racing platform.

“It is the same great platform as MyWhoosh, but built for those Windows computers that don’t have a dedicated high-end graphics card,” MyWhoosh said in a press release.

“MyWhoosh Go gives you all the same events, features, and training plans as MyWhoosh without the need for a high-spec Windows PC”.

Launched in 2019, MyWhoosh is still a relatively new player in the indoor cycling market, but its stock has rapidly grown over the last few years, partly spurred on by the UCI’s announcement that the platform would replace Zwift as the host for the E-Sports World Championships.

Unlike similar apps, the platform is also free to use, making it a popular choice. It also benefits from the backing of the UAE government, which brings with it lots of monetary perks for the app’s users, specifically in terms of prize money for its monthly competitions. Currently there is around $75,000/month up for grabs each month through these.

MyWhoosh Go users will be able to participate in these races, along with other features, like community, bot and social rides, for free, as the Go app is also free to use.

Users wanting to access these features through the new MyWhoosh Go app will need a computer with Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit or higher, along with a minimum of 8GB of RAM. You can check out the full device requirements here.
