Bolt Officially Launches In Zimbabwe With Zero Commissions from Drivers For First Six Months


Bolt has officially introduced its services in Harare, Zimbabwe. With its launch, Bolt announced that it would not collect commissions from drivers for at least six months.

Driving The News

With this launch, Zimbabwe will be Bolt’s 12th country launch after initially launching in South Africa in 2016.

The ride-hailing company currently operates in Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Tunisia, Mozambique, Mali , and Cameroon.

Why This Matters

In 2023, Bolt unveiled plans to dedicate over €500 million in investment in Africa, with one of the initiatives creating job opportunities for more than 300,000 driver partners. Bolt currently provides services in 45 countries worldwide to over 150 million customers, involving over 3 million drivers.
