Australian Open champ now runs luxurious B&B in Zimbabwe after hanging up his racket


Wayne Black is now amassing five star ratings instead of Grand Slam titles.

The doubles ace, 50, won four major championships during his time in tennis, winning a title at each Grand Slam tournament. His success came when he decided to walk away from the singles circuit and become a master in doubles.




Now things are different for the 5ft 7in pocket rocket, as he has created the ultimate luxury hotel back in his homeland Zimbabwe. If we are to be a judge on appearances, it looks fit for any Grand Slam winner you could think off.

After initially moving to England and playing club tennis in Sutton when he retired, Black and his family moved back to Zimbabwe to set up the Willow Lodge Harare – a beautiful hotel located near Victoria Falls.

The luxury pad, which has a swimming pool, a tennis court, an exotic garden, king size beds that look as wide as a tennis court and a variety of conference rooms for those who are on business, currently boasts a five star rating on Trip Advisor.
