An arrest warrant has been authorized for Kirk Bangstad, owner of the Minocqua Brewing Company. That’s according to court records.
It’s in relation to a case where Bangstad was found guilty of defaming Lakeland Times Publisher Gregg Walker, and was ordered to pay $750,000.
Bangstad’s false claims related to a 1987 hunting accident where Walker’s 23-year-old brother fatally shot himself.
Bangstad did not appear to a court appearance that he was legally required to attend, which is why there is now a warrant out for his arrest.
